Prologue

Rebkart began in February 1993 and survives today as the only continuing activity of the Rebels Club. The club was formed in 1983 and had ten members. Many sports and recreational activities were enjoyed by the club that are too numerous to list here. Chris Garris , Craig Garris and Jamie Prevette are the founding members of Rebkart, and are responsible for approving race rules, membership and procedures. Traphill Speedway was home track to Rebkart from 1993 until 2001 and owned by Jesse Prevette with equipment and lighting provided by Craig and Jerry Garris. Rebkart moved to Clingman Speedway in late 2001. Rebkart follows Nascar Winston Cup Rules closely.

Flagman Duties/Race Protocol

1. The flagman shall wave the green flag to start racing as the leader enters turn 4 at a greatly reduced speed. If a starting pylon is present in turn 4, the flagman should throw the green flag at this point.

2. There will not be any advancement of position until the kart being followed passes the flag stand. This applies to every green flag.

3. If the flagman feels a start gave a racer an unfair advantage (a bad start), he may show the caution flag again and restart the field.

4. The flagman is the ultimate race official and is charged with counting the laps ran, starting and finishing the race, caution flags, any other flag usage, and determining when rough driving has occurred.

6. When the caution flag is waved, no advancement in position will be recognized; ALL POSITIONS ARE FROZEN.

7. Rough driving is driving which is detrimental to fair sportsmanship, driving which can be dangerous, intentional ramming, intentional spinning/wrecking of another kart(s), failure to obey the flagman. When the flagman (with possible assistance of up to 2 other Rebkart officials) determines rough driving has occurred, a caution will be thrown. The offending driver will be warned by officials/flagman and sent to the rear of the field. A second occurrence will result in the driver being black flagged, in which they should leave the track immediately and forfeit race points. There does not necessarily have to be a warning given.

8. Displays of aggression and profanity will not be tolerated. The offender should leave the track and or area immediately.
